“Calmness is the cradle of power J. Holland. Calmness is the quality of being peaceful, quiet and without worry. It can also be accepting problems with composure meaning accepting things as they are without quick hasty or harsh reactions. A great emphasis of calmness is given in the book of wisdom (the bible).

2 TIMOTHY 1:7 NLT

“For God has not given us a spirit of fear but of power, love and self-control”

God’s spirit should give us a sense of calm because we had the wrath of God removed from us through Christ.

Looking at my life, it has never been easy from childhood to growing up and to where I am right now which is what influenced me to write. The topics shared if closely read can show how I have carried everything with a sense of calmness. I may not be what most people think I am being very intelligent or an A student. I might have been that at one point but growing up it all went away probably because of certain situations I encountered. However, that has never stopped me even in times I thought that’s the end of me. At some point I have earned grades which are on the line where it goes for discussion if I should proceed to the next level or repeat, hence I came up with the topic ELIMINATE PERFECTION, CONCENTRATE ON PROGRESSION. This was a deep insight of what has become more in my life. That in as much as one wants to be perfect, but sometimes it is rather important to focus on progression (going further). However, in the midst of every chaos what kept me alive and where I am now is because of calmness. I have learnt to be patient with every situation. Not an easy thing to do but trust me, it is very much essential. It is true patient pays, but it pays for it is a key element of calmness.

Being calm or sense of calmness is the same as to what is regarded to “keeping your cool”. Negative emotions are the greatest challenge to someone who is trying to cultivate a calm mind. The only way to defeat the negative emotions is by learning to watch your response. Nothing triggers emotions more than words…this is why most arguments turn into fights. But allow yourself to be the calm and quiet one.

In the heaviest storms which may be hard to remain calm atleast be grateful which allows you to earn the power of calmness. Be grateful for all that motivates you then use it to a greater advantage.
