With exams on the way its been hard posting consistently, but it will definitely be better when they are over.
The topic for today has slightly shifted from pressures of having to work hard, work, work, success this and that. It has to do with mental or emotional state including positive or pleasant emotions. Are you moving in the right direction when it comes to pleasuring your own life? Take note* This is non judgmental be the judge of your own life. That takes it to the topic: HABITS OF HAPPINESS.
A habit is a routine of behaviour that is repeated regularly and tends to occur subconsciously. It has to do with a reputation of mental experience. Your sleeping times can be habitual, for me it has become more of a habit to go through all my social media pages, facebook, instagram, twitter etc. even if i was supposed to make a simple fone call i get carried away and i know its a bad one. I am not sure if its a habit of happiness or what but what I know is that there is some sort of satisfaction I get from that. But habits are difficult to build and break, whether they are good habits or bad habits. Meaning to say you can't create habits of happiness at the outset. It has to develop and grow in you. Most people would go on the notion that I would make a habit that am quite aware of that this makes me happy such as going for events like clubbing everyday, attending a party every Saturday, the likes of many other things. Yes, indeed that makes one happy but generally the happiness doesn't last because the following day or minutes later its gone you might end up meeting something that gives you a whole different mood. Going out its not a bad thing, I do it too, but you can't frame it as habits of happiness. Habits of happiness have to bring everlasting happiness, have to be something that uplifts your spirit when its down. I view that habits of happiness have to be; you being slow down to appreciate life's little pleasures like a good meal, appreciating an amazing conversation you just had, appreciating nature and people around you. Make it a habit of not comparing yourself to others move at your own pace, accept that you have been granted by God, accept who you are. Make it a habit of acting happy even when you are down and sad, even when you are at your worst, you wont become an easy target on being shamed on, laughed at, being used as a bad example. Have a habit of self-confidence even on the scariest times. Happiness is found in the smallest moments which we leave by thinking about other targets. Each and every moment is felt and enjoyed will give you true habits of happiness. Embrace habits that will give you everlasting happiness than happiness that doesn't last.
