In the last topic " Don't Let Any Decide Who You Are"I mentioned about understanding who you are in brief. Bare in mind that, you me and the next person are different in all aspects even if we are twins but there is just one thing that makes you be you. I also mentioned about knowing want you want to be but today I want to say before knowing what you want to be, you should know who you truly are. Who is Rutendo Blessing then after a thorough survey what does Rutendo want to be. For you to find yourself you need to be quiet and taking time to be still. Remove yourself from the mob and crowd. Find what you are good at and not good at. What are you passionate about? Stop looking at what others are doing but look at yourself as an individual. In order to be the most valuable person to the world, to be the best partner, parent or friend we first have to know who we are and what we are capable to offer. Not finding yourself, living a life that is not yours is more like sabotaging yourself. You need to rely on yourself. Have you ever wondered what if life turned around and you are left on your own with no single individual how will you manage when you don't even know yourself and people think for you and help you. We often find ourselves stuck because we haven't figured who we are. Mahatma Gandi goes on to say that "Best way to find yourself is loosing yourself in the service others". This just goes to show how finding yourself is essential. But to Gandi finding yourself means being selfless. It also means not being self-centered. You can only know who you are by helping other people and being there for them. It is wiser to be there for other people than for other people to be there for you. In actual fact it gives some self-satisfaction and happiness but in this topic it makes you see the other side of you which will makes you know who you are (helping you find yourself). Knowing yourself is the beginning of wisdom because real happiness starts with you.
